The Altamura Jenny body is a FULL BODY Bento mesh body, which means it includes the head, hands and feet all as a single attachment. The HUD that adjusts the body configuration is basically an Alpha HUd in that to select flat, mid of high ankle feet you “toggle” each foot option on or off to make the one you want appear and the other two disappear. So, if your feet are Flat you select “1” to make them disappear and “3” to make the High ankle feet appear. Or, of course, you might leave them all disappear for ankle boots that otherwise might now fit. The lack of Baked on Mesh (BoM) eoli8minates any issue of concern around which shin map it uses. It appears to be Non-EvoX, of course, as I had to wear a Head_Body Alpha to get the Jenny to properly appear. I will need to search for methods to change the nail color and do the simple customizations most people want to do, but I was not able to accomplish that with the items included with the Jenny free body.

There is a typical shape pair provided: brows and body. The face looks a bit severe when compared to the vendor image, so some tweaking might be required to meet your taste there. Using the Default settings, the avatar is 1.88m tall, which is a very good height for most people. Much like in real lfie, the angle you view the face varies the appeal and this face looks a bnit better from above (as do most people – check their selfies). The head is larger than the Avatar Welcome Pack default Ceylon share, so the AWP Doux hair does not fit the scalp. During my hunt for free store gifts, I collected several third-party shapes made for Altamura so those will be worth testing over time. They might bring the head size and dimensions into better range for hair. One example that I liked was Sweet’s Jenny shape, which I felt made the face more delicate, but it didn’t quite reduce the head to fit the hair.

There are several animation HUDs included: Facial, and Hands HUDs, as well as Facial and Hands Pose HUDs for photography. There is also a Face Animation Pack but this is not explainewd in the Notecard. This object contains 23 animations, but it is unclear if these are in addition to what is in the HUDs or they are options you might add. There is a “Blah Blah gesture to simulate speaking, but it is not very interesting and I feel better options could be found.

When I was collecting gift clothing, I started by tossing all the clothing for bodies I did not have into a folder “OTHER BODIES OLDER”. It hyappens many of those included Altamura, so I have some work to do to pull these out into their own folder with whatever alpha or panties or accessories they need to be useful. In testing gift clothing, I first tried a BG Romper that I found at AYLUDA VIRTUAL Gateway. It seemed a bit bulky in the lwoer body when using the default Jenny shape, but it seemed better proportioned when using the Sweet’s Jenny shape. A gift from Dreams, skirt “Love #5”, fit really nicely.

So, now onward to VISTA Animations to test movement and how clothing reacts, especially to sitting. Upon arrival at Vista, I felt the lighting was too dark to see the details that I was looking to assess, so I changed my lighting from Shared to “Nam’s Optimal Skin and Prim”. I have found this to br bright without being excessive and it made it possible for me to see skin poking through clothing when I did this test before. This time, I was testing using the SARAH STS AO, but I am not sure I will see any of the effects of STS on the pose stand. But, maybe Animations are something I can take a deeper dive into in May.

On testing the sit, both the Romper and the Skirt fared well, following the contour of the Altamura body without “clipping”, or showing mesh body through the clothign fabric. The Romper did so well that I decided to test it’s color HUD because I know I will be using it when I am using Altamura in the future. While the AO “Try It!” stand has limited Runs (1), the Walks all looked fine with the Altamura. I was quite pelased with how the body moved and how well the clothing moved with it.

All-in-all the Altamura Jenny was an approcable beginner “free” bento body. It has some limitations with a single skin and no Baked on Mesh support, but for the price it is a very servicable option. It moves with fluid motion using a good AO and seems well-worth the time to set it up (and search for clothing and third-party shapes).

It is worth noting that there is also an Altamura Valentina Bento body offered as a gift at places like AJUDA Brasil (and others). I would expect a similar experience, sothough changing to it without testing shapes did not provide a pleasing look for me. In either case, you will do well to learn shape editing to bring the head size into line with the hair you have now.
