You should always be on the lookout for good designers who have low-cost or no-cost Group Gifts. When you find them, you should waste not time in collecting the gifts – often I have found groups go from $0 to not free overnigh. Perhaps we are lucky to find them free, but you should really get all the gifts you can so you can evaluate the brand in various styles before you go on shopping sprees and spend real money.
I don’t fault brands like EWA BOUTIQUE for raising their fee from $0 to $299. For the majority of players in Second Life, this is not a huge barrier, and it gets you at least 24 additional gifts. It also gives you access to Lucky Boards and “28K Exclusive” group events. The event exclusive items are not free, either, but they are quite affordable. Note, too, that EWA is showing FREE items at Ajuda SL Braszl. I found an additional six items on an upper floor partially obscured by a misplaced panel. If you learn to “Derender” that misplaced wall, you can simply buy the six for $0 and have a nice addition to the 24 or so on the main floor.
But my top pick for this month is COCO DESIGNS. This is a breath of fresh air from a store design perspective. The layout is open and airy and (are you sitting down) the images displayed are not simply the same item on both sizes. Sometimes it is a different color of the item, or sometimes it is a transparency so you can see through the the rest of the store. Quite nice approach to open floorpans in shopping. If you are tired of going to shopping events or stores where every surface is black and the lighting can’t help you, this will be your favorite store experience.
I searched for COCO DESIGNS in web search and located the store and the $0 Fee group.
When I arrived, I moved off the central landing spot and I used my Area Search and Touch trick and gathered (drum roll, please) 89 gift packages. I later returned to the store and in wandering around and admiring things found eleven (11) items you would right-click and Buy for $0. So, this is a place that hits the “100 Gifts” milestone with what appears to be really nice designs. If you body is in the packs you will be a long time assembling the mix and match items into outfits that most of your friends have yet to discover.
While in previous searches at other stores and gift areas I found massive piles of gifts, I also learned I should expect many stores give away items they can’t really sell anymore because the bodies are no longer being offere, or have been replaced with a newer edition (e.g. The Maitreya Lara versus Lara X pivot).
Anyway, don’t walk, don’t run, just teleport immediately to COCO DESIGNS and collect your work assignment of 100 new clothing items and obsess away!
